Can I drink Hanuman Chai iced?
Yes! We recommend brewing your chai as directed with boiling water or milk, and then cooling it. This ensures the most robust flavor. You can
-consume your iced chai immediately
-freeze it to thaw later (be sure to use a freezer-safe container), or
-cover and refrigerate it (consume within 48 hours, or sooner depending on how you brewed it!)
Always consume your chai as fresh as possible!
Can I re-use my spices/tea?
We often re-steep our chai spices and tea and find that a second (or sometimes even third!) cup is still potent and flavorful.
Whether we recommend it for you depends on the size of your brew, whether you use milk, water, or both, and your preferred brewing strength.
Try re-steeping, and if it isn't to your liking, remember that you can compost the spices and tea when you're done.
This batch tastes different than my last one. Why?
Agricultural products, including the organic, fresh-ground spices and tea in our blends, have natural variations. This is normal! While we hand-mill our blends carefully to ensure consistency, there can be slight differences between different batches.
Why is my chai milder when I use milk?
Great question! Milk contains fats and proteins that naturally mellow the flavors of spices. It is typical for flavors to feel less potent in milk than when they are brewed in water.
If you notice that the flavor of your Hanuman Chai isn't as strong as you'd like, don't worry! Add another tea bag or a little more Karha, and enjoy.
Also, make sure that you're using HOT milk. Heating your milk will help extract robust flavor from the spices and tea.
Does "Ayurvedic" mean that Hanuman Chai is medicine?
Ayurveda is a science and practice that is thousands of years old. The practice includes careful descriptions of the use of spices and ingredients, from the amounts, to how to prepare them, in order to have beneficial and complementary effects on different people.
Ayurveda also teaches that each person is unique. Doshas, or constitutions, can help us understand patterns. But the texts teach that each individual's internal state also influences their health. Because we do not offer individual consultations or prescriptions (and also because none of these statements are approved by the FDA) we do not brand Hanuman Chai as a medicine. We also suggest always proceeding with caution when someone claims something will heal you.

How long will it take for my Hanuman Chai to arrive?
From the time your order is confirmed, it can take up to 3 business days for it to be processed, packed, and entered into the mail. Your mailing speed can be selected by you during checkout. We will notify you when your Hanuman Chai is on its way.
During this period of shipping delays, we appreciate your patience with the mail service! Please note that we are not accountable for shipping issues once the package leaves our facility.
What if I ordered the wrong product or put in the wrong shipping address?

What is your Return Policy?
We want our customers to be happy with our products. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact Hanuman Chai by email at hanumanchai@gmail.com within seven (7) days of your receipt of the product.
Due to the nature of our products, and the Covid-19 pandemic, all sales are final. We handle discounts and exchanges on a case-by-case basis. Please have your order details available when you contact us to help expedite your request.
What if I prefer a different taste? Can I return my order?
We understand that people have different preferences. However, due to the nature of our products, and the Covid-19 pandemic, all sales are final.
We suggest placing a new order for a different blend and sharing your unused or remaining chai with family or friends. Great reason to have a chai party!
